TILE Accelerator: Writing and Technology in TILE with guest instructor Mark Isham

Event Date:

Wednesday, February 18, 2015 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Description:

Experienced TILE instructor, Mark Isham, will present his experiences on student writing in a TILE classroom. Participants of this hands-on session will explore the technology that supports interaction in both electronic and non-electronic tasks. They will experience the student's perspective as well as see the challenges of teaching.

Mr. Isham has taught numerous English courses in a TILE classroom including topics such as writing for business and industry and using cartooning to improve writing.

Accelerators are monthly sessions focusing on specific areas of applied TILE practice, such as enhanced technology training, student assessment and course transformation. Accelerators also provide instructors with one-on-one consulting opportunities with Student Instructional Technology Assistant (SITA) and the Center for Teaching staff.
