Transforming Learning through Student-Centered Environments
TILE Essentials is the Center for Teaching’s two-part workshop that focuses on the active-learning pedagogies implemented by instructors who teach in TILE (as well as other) classrooms. Completion of both Parts I and II of the Essentials workshop enables instructors to request a TILE room from the Registrar’s Office.
We have scheduled the summer workshop for:
Thursday July 9 (Part I) 1:30-4:00
Thursday July 16 (Part II) 1:30-4:00
The two-part training will focus on team-based, inquiry-guided teaching and learning, and also provide additional technology instruction for those who would like it. Instructors will also complete preparation assignments before both Parts I and II that will involve designing an active-learning module for use in a future syllabus.
Please complete the following registration to join us for the next TILE Essentials. Participating in the TILE Essentials is necessary prior to teaching in a TILE classroom. By completing the registration form you indicate that you will commit to participate in the 2-day TILE Essentials, to respond to assessment inquiries, and to maintain involvement in the TILE Program through emails, inquiries, and optional retreats and discussions.
**TILE Essentials is two parts on July 9 & 16, 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm in Main Library 1140, TILE room. Attendance at both parts is required.**
