What is Essentials?

TILE Lab Essentials, is the opportunity for instructors (faculty, graduate assistants, and adjunct faculty) from across campus to gain the endorsement and eligibility to teach in a TILE classroom. The program focuses on aiding instructors with the creation of interactive, student-centered learning environments that challenge students to engage in higher-order critical thinking. Participants will receive an overview of the pedagogical foundations and technological resources that help make up TILE classrooms. The majority of the time will be spent helping instructors develop and transform existing course topics through the creation of class lesson and assessment plans.
