My work is in understanding how solutes move through hydrological landscapes, and the ecological implications of these fluxes. I seek to understand how hydrological connection between streams, landscapes, and aquifers control biogeochemical processes in the environment. I use both field-based experiments and numerical modeling to discover new couplings between physical, biological, and chemical systems, and apply this knowledge to the restoration of natural systems.
