About Aloysius Klinglehurtz

My research covers a broad array of topics but with a main focus on studies to determine why cells senesce during the aging process and how they become immortal during the development of cancer. Recent studies have also centered on determining the role of adipocytes in the development of diabetes. I direct a course called Introduction to Animal Viruses which is taken by upper level undergraduates and graduate students. I also teach in Biology and Pathogenesis of Viruses and Cell Cycle Control (both for graduate students) and Case Based Learning for medical students.
