About Jennifer Buckley

Jennifer Buckley joined the Rhetoric Department in 2011.  In her teaching and in her research, she is concerned with how the material forms in which people encounter information—news, propaganda, interpersonal communications, art—shape their perceptions of and responses to it. Her scholarship focuses on the complex relationship between the theatre and print during the first half of the twentieth century in Europe, a period in which both were perceived to be in danger of being left behind by a mass culture increasingly dominated by newer media.
